From the inception of Schramsbergs efforts in 1965, the winery has sought to achieve the greatest elegance and individuality possible in our sparkling wines. Our bottlings epitomize Schramsbergs philosophy to create a wine in which no effort has been spared and no care has been omitted.
With 24 years of contact on the yeast in the bottle in our historic Diamond Mountain caves, this 2000 J. Schram Late Disgorged has developed exquisite richness, depth and complexity. Extensive aging en tirage enables savory, nutty and seasoned attributes to evolve with fruitful caramelization, density and creaminess on the palate.
More than 120 cool-climate vineyard sites in Carneros, Anderson Valley, and the Sonoma and Marin coastal areas are farmed each year to grow the best possible fruit for our sparkling wines. Hand-picking, early-morning harvesting, and light pressing of the grapes are critical for maintaining juice quality. A small amount of select Pinot Noir is included in the primarily Chardonnay blend, bringing a fruitful roundness to the palate. Distinct barrel and malolactic fermentation lots are then layered in to provide viscosity and depth prior to the wine going to bottle for its long rest within the caves. Following secondary fermentation within the bottle, the yeast within slowly break down through a process called autolysis, imparting a richness and complexity that can only be achieved through years of patience. Now 25 years after these grapes were first harvested, we release this outstanding bottle of wine for your enjoyment.

Cool and foggy weather in June and July set the course for harvest to begin in mid-August, allowing some of the coolest vineyard sources to mature into late September. Our 2000 J. Schram Late Disgorged opens with aromas of baked orange and glazed grapefruit, amid layers of honey, toffee, and toasted almond. The palate follows with a creamy entry and coating weight, balanced with fresh acidity and flavors of lemon yogurt and orange creamsicle. is remembered as a drawn-out one due to cool temperatures in August and September, with only a brief heat spike around Labor Day. With no rush to harvest, the grapes were picked at their optimal ripeness for sparkling wine, with delicious flavors, low sugars
and high acidities.

This wine is blended from the vintages best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wine lots from Schramsbergs collection of 120 cool-climate vineyard sites within the Carneros, Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast and Marin County. Following secondary fermentation in the bottle, this wine was aged on its yeast lees for over seven years in Schramsbergs historic caves. It was then hand-riddled and finished with a select brut dosage. It is the companion to Schramsbergs J. Schram Blancs and J. Schram Noirs, considered by many to be the ultimate expressions of artisan American sparkling wine.
J. Schram Rosé is the epitome of grace, style and elegance in a glass. It lends itself to be served as an apéritif, with a first course or with a light main course. Fresh crab, scallop ceviche, seared swordfish, roasted poultry, or braised pork loin are all well-suited pairings.
The 2016 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with ideal weather condition throughout. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August, and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness for the light yields that were present.

Our 2016 J. Schram Rosé immediately pleases with its copper-tinged, pale salmon color. Its bouquet presents apricot, glazed orange, and strawberry shortcake, balanced by aspects of peach, plum, jasmine, and almond paste. The palate has a coating entry with citrus bursts of orange and tangerine, with notes of cherry and peach melba, and hints of graham cracker. Originally released with the 1987 vintage our J. Schram, the 2013 vintage of this bottling was renamed J. Schram Blancs to denote this wines Chardonnay-based core. From the inception of Schramsbergs efforts in 1965, the winery has sought to achieve the greatest elegance and individuality possible in our sparkling wines. J. Schram Blancs epitomizes Schramsbergs philosophy to create a wine in which no effort has been spared and no care has been omitted. Representing only 2-3% of the winerys annual production, the Chardonnay-focused J. Schram Blancs blend is assembled from the very best base wine lots of the approximately 300 produced each year. This special bottling is dedicated to Schramsbergs founder, Jacob Schram, and has been a great success since its premier vintage was released in 1992.
Cluster samples from over 115 cool-climate vineyard sources are pulled several times before the optimal pick date for each block is selected. Complexity within the wine is gained through both oak barrel and stainless-steel tank fermentation. Additional layers are provided through small lots that undergo malolactic fermentation in barrel, enriching aromas and infusing creaminess on the palate. Our J. Schram Blancs is aged for eight years on the yeast in Schramsbergs historic Diamond Mountain caves; each bottle is then riddled by hand and finished with an exceptional brut dosage.
J. Schram Blancs is quite appealing on its own as an apéritif or enjoyed with fresh shellfish, caviar on toast point, smoked salmon, sharp cheeses, seafood brochettes, cedar-planked lobster, mesquite-grilled quail, or Serrano ham and porcini risotto.

The Schramsberg team and the Davies Family is thrilled to release the fourth bottling of J. Schram Noirs, our finest Pinot Noir brut offering. Labeled as the Schramsberg Reserve for decades, we started bottling our special limited Noirs blend in the J. Schram proprietary glass with the 2013 vintage. We now offer our ultimate sparkling wine tier with three selections: Blancs, Rosé, and Noirs. Representing 2% of our annual production, this richly flavored and full-bodied sparkler is made from only the finest base-wine lots produced each year. We release this finished sparkling wine nine years after the grapes are harvested, yet this fruitful, dry, toasty and creamy bubbly will age gracefully for decades to come.
Though primarily Pinot Noir, small amounts of select Chardonnay lots are added to the blend to lend additional backbone and length to the palate. Distinct barrel and malolactic fermented lots are also layered in to provide viscosity and depth. Each bottle is aged in contact with its yeast in our historic Diamond Mountain hillside caves for eight years, affording the development of seasoned and caramelized richness. The yeast is then removed and a finishing dosage, determined through extensive and comprehensive trials, is added to fine-tune the wines balance of flavor and structure.

Blanc de Noirs (white from black) is the counterpart to Blanc de Blancs (white from white). Made primarily from the red grape Pinot Noir, this is a complex, medium-bodied, brut sparkling wine. Schramsberg pioneered the Blanc de Noirs style in the United States, producing the first such commercial American sparkler in 1967. The key to producing this Blanc de Noirs is our sourcing of Pinot Noir grapes from a vast and varied selection of cool-climate North Coast vineyards. Pinot Noir from low-yielding Sonoma and Marin coastal vineyards combine with fruit from Carneros and Anderson Valley sites, to develop a sparkling wine with a breadth of fruitful aroma and flavor. Select Chardonnay lots are then added, to give zest and backbone to the blend.

Our extra bruts are produced for the growing number of enthusiasts who on occasion desire a very, very dry sparkling wine. These wines are finished with a dosage of between 0.2 - 0.6 g/100 mL of residual sugar, about half that of our other brut offerings. More broadly a progression towards a drier brut has occurred in the sparkling wine world in the past two decades, as producers have been able to develop brighter intensity of fruit flavor in the grapes that they grow. Schramsberg is no exception. Because cooler climate vineyards have produced grapes with not only higher acidity, but also riper Pinot Noir and Chardonnay characteristics, the level of dosage in our brut offerings has decreased by 15-20% through this transition.

Querencia is a Brut Rosé produced solely from fruit grown in the Napa Valley Carneros region. Chardonnay forms the blends core, providing a relatively light-bodied, crisp and tangy palate. Small additions of Pinot Noir fermented with skin contact add berry brightness and color.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Querencia contribute to the Jack L. Davies Napa Valley Agricultural Land Preservation Fund, which supports future agricultural preservation and education efforts in Napa County. Established by the Davies family in 1998 upon the passing of Schramsberg founder Jack Davies, the fund builds on his 30-year legacy as a strong advocate for the preservation of agricultural land. Jack played an instrumental role in the establishment of the Napa Valley Agricultural Preserve in 1968, which has become a national model for the protection of agriculture. The preserve celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018.
The wine was named by James Hickey, long-time Napa County planning director. The name is a Spanish word meaning the deep and abiding affection one has for the place one calls home. It refers to the sense of being nourished by the place in which you belong, and the balance that exists between the land and its stewards. Our Querencia Brut Rosé is hearty enough to compliment the robust flavors of shrimp ceviche, grilled halibut, roast chicken, braised pork loin, caprese salad and sushi.
The 2021 growing season started with cold temperatures and minimal rain, that gave way to warm weather through the summer months. Hot days and cold nights allowed for steady ripening throughout. The Schramsberg Crémant Demi-sec is a delicate, off-dry sparkling wine: an American original. Crémant is French for creamy and traditionally refers to a wine with light effervescence. It has approximately two-thirds the pressure of our other sparkling wines and presents a creamier texture with vibrant fruit flavors. Schramsberg made its first Crémant in 1972. After rigorous study, Jack and Jamie Davies chose a unique California grape named Flora (a cross of Sémillon and Gewürztraminer developed at UC Davis) to be a component of this sparkling wine. Flora unites the fruitful spice of Gewürztraminer with the strength, depth and minerality of Sémillon. Aging on the yeast for over two years prior to disgorgement adds complexity, yet the wine will retain its youthful appeal for 20 years or more.

Schramsberg first produced a Blanc de Noirs brut sparkling wine in 1967. This white sparkling wine produced from dark grapes is more complex, creamy and medium-bodied than the Blanc de Blancs style. The key to our success here is the great diversity of cool, maritime climate Pinot Noir vineyard blocks that we work with.Low yielding sites from Mendocinos Anderson Valley to the north thorugh the Sonoma Coast, Marin Coast and Carneros to the south combine, to develop a sparkling wine with a breadth of fruitful aroma and flavor. Select Chardonnay lots are then added, to give zest and backbone to the blend.

Blanc de Blancs (white from whites), made from Chardonnay, is the counterpart to the Blanc de Noirs (white from blacks), made from Pinot Noir. Blanc de Blancs was the first wine Schramsberg produced in 1965 and was Americas first commercially produced Chardonnay-based brut sparkling wine. Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs gained international recognition in 1972 when then President Nixon served the wine at the historic Toast to Peace in Beijing, China.
The Schramsberg style of Blanc de Blancs is dry and crisp. Small lots of barrel fermented wines, some of which complete malolactic fermentation, are added to stainless-steel fermented wines to create added complexity in the blended base wine. After undergoing a second fermentation in bottle, the wine then ages on its yeast lees for about two years prior to disgorgement. With its vibrant, fruitful and focused nature, this sparkling wine will maintain its freshness, structure and refined finish for many years, even decades following its initial release.
While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an apéritif, it is also perfect with fresh oysters and other shellfish, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass. It is also delicious with lemon chicken and Thai curries. Serve with aged Gouda and other hard cheeses, or as a counterpoint to soft triple creams.

Twenty years into building an outstanding range of vintage-dated sparkling wines, the Davies family set out to master the non-vintage or multi-vintage traditional method technique. A few years of experimentation would ultimately lead to the successful launch of Mirabelle Brut and Mirabelle Brut Rose in 1992. These bottlings are specially crafted blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Schramsbergs select cool-climate vineyards in the Napa-Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, and Marin County areas of Californias North Coast. Starting in 2022, the Mirabelle packaging started to designate the bottling number to give specificity to each bottling of Mirabelle, and to highlight the vintage which is primarily in the blend. For this 33rd bottling, the 2021 vintage makes up 84% of the blend, with the other 16% coming from our base wine cellars of prior vintages.
The grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed to provide superior quality juice for the production of this balanced, refreshing rosé bubbly. In the spring following the fall harvest, base wines are individually evaluated and carefully blended by our winemakers. Pinot Noir lots, including a few fermented with skin contact, provide brightness of berry fruit and body, while Chardonnay lots lend length and zest to the palate. Additional flavor depth and aromatic complexity results from the blending of base wine lots aged in barrels and tanks for one or more years. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and rests for approximately two years before its release. Following the en tirage aging, an extensive dosage trial process produces the ideal finishing touch, and the sparkling wine is ready to be enjoyed. More than 120 cool-climate vineyard sites in Carneros, Anderson Valley, and the Sonoma and Marin coastal areas are farmed each year to grow the best possible fruit for our sparkling wines. With great enthusiasm, we present this one-of-a-kind late disgorged offering of our 2007 J. Schram. From the inception of Schramsbergs efforts in 1965, the winery has sought to achieve the greatest elegance and individuality possible in our sparkling wines. Our J. Schram bottlings epitomize Schramsbergs philosophy to craft wines in which no effort has been spared and no care has been omitted.
With 17 years of contact on the yeast in the bottle in our historic Diamond Mountain caves, this wine has developed exquisite richness, depth and complexity. Extensive aging en tirage enables savory, nutty and seasoned attributes to evolve with fruitful caramelization, density and creaminess on the palate.
More than 120 cool-climate vineyard sites in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and the Marin coastal areas are farmed each year to achieve the best possible fruit for our sparkling wines. Hand-picking, early-morning harvesting, and light pressing of the grapes are critical for maintaining juice quality. A small amount of select Pinot Noir is included in the primarily Chardonnay blend, bringing a fruitful roundness to the palate. Distinct barrel and malolactic fermentation lots are then layered in to provide viscosity and depth, prior to the wine going to bottle for its long rest within the caves. In 2007, a warmer and drier than normal winter allowed for an early bud break with flowering beginning in the first week of May. The mild temperatures continued through July, paving the way for the start of harvest towards the beginning of August. The vintage
is remembered as a drawn-out one due to cool temperatures in August and September, with only a brief heat spike around Labor Day. With no rush to harvest, the grapes were picked at their optimal ripeness for sparkling wine, with delicious flavors, low sugars
and high acidities.

A creamy entry and a clean, bright center are supported by notes of peach cobbler, tangerine, baked pear, snickerdoodle, and shortbread cookie. Originally released as our J. Schram, with the 2013 vintage this bottling was renamed J. Schram Blancs to denote this wines Chardonnay-based core. From the inception of Schramsbergs efforts in 1965, the winery has sought to achieve the greatest elegance and individuality possible in our sparkling wines. J. Schram Blancs epitomizes Schramsbergs philosophy to create a wine in which no effort has been spared and no care has been omitted. Representing only 2-3% of the winerys annual production, the Chardonnay-focused J. Schram Blancs blend is assembled from the very best base wine lots of the approximately 300 produced each year. This special bottling is dedicated to Schramsbergs founder, Jacob Schram, and has been a great success since its premier 1987 vintage was released in 1992.
Cluster samples from over 115 cool-climate vineyard sources are pulled several times before the optimal pick date for each block is selected. Complexity within the wine is gained through both oak barrel and stainless-steel tank fermentation. Additional layers are provided through small lots that undergo malolactic fermentation in barrel, enriching aromas and infusing creaminess on the palate. Our J. Schram Blancs is aged for eight years on the yeast in Schramsbergs historic Diamond Mountain caves; each bottle is then riddled by hand and finished with an exceptional brut dosage.
J. Schram Blancs is quite appealing on its own as an apéritif or enjoyed with fresh shellfish, caviar on toast point, smoked salmon, sharp cheeses, seafood brochettes, cedar-planked lobster, mesquite-grilled quail, or Serrano ham and porcini risotto.
2015 delivered California vintners a stellar vintage. A mild winter led to an early bud break, followed by a protracted bloom during an unseasonably cooler spring, which contributed to smaller grape clusters and variable crop size. A steady and moderate weather pattern during ripening allowed for gradual maturity within the grapes and exceptional quality upon harvest.

We now offer our ultimate sparkling wine tier with three selections: Blancs, Rosé, and Noirs. Representing 2% of our annual production, this richly flavored and full-bodied sparkler is made from only the finest base-wine lots produced each year. We release this finished sparkling wine nine years after the grapes are harvested, yet this fruitful, dry, toasty and creamy bubbly will age gracefully for decades to come.
Though primarily Pinot Noir, small amounts of select Chardonnay lots are added to the blend to lend additional backbone and length to the palate. Schramsberg Brut Rosé is fruitful, complex and dry, making it both versatile with food and delicious by itself as an apéritif. The character of the wine is most strongly influenced by bright, flavorful Pinot Noir grown along Californias North coast from southern Mendocino County to northern Marin County. A few small lots of Pinot Noir are fermented in contact with their skins to add depth and subtle color to this vibrant sparkling wine. Chardonnay gives spice, structure and length on the palate.
Hand picking, careful handling and gentle pressing produce a wine of delicacy, aromatic purity and depth. Following the fall harvest and fermentation of the base wines, extensive tasting trials are carried out in the spring to create a polished blend reflective of the vintage. The finished blend undergoes a second fermentation in bottle before aging on its yeast lees for about two years, just enough to achieve refined effervescence and toastiness without diminishing its refreshing, vibrant appeal.

Tasting notes
This Brut Rosé opens with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and Bing cherry; which interweave with hints of golden apple and pear; and are brightened by notes of rangpur lime and mandarin orange. The palate bursts with juicy red berry, summer stone fruit, pineapple, and tangerine, complemented by candied apple and creamy vanilla.
