The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards in Napa Valley, presents the fifth vintage of the J. Davies Estate "Jamie", the finest Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from its historic Diamond Mountain vineyard property. Bearing her signature, this wine is named in honor of Schramsberg's matriarch, the late Jamie Davies. Along with her husband Jack, she revived the Schramsberg property in 1965 with a inspired vision of crafting world-class American sparkling wines. Five decades later, lead by son Hugh and his wife Monique, a second generation of the Davies have taken on an additional challenge of producing extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon from vines grown on the family's hillside property. They are proud to release the J. Davies Estate "Jamie" Cabernet Sauvignon, representing the pinnacle of an endeavor that spans over 55 years.
The vineyard blocks, totaling 41 acres, are laid out in three isolated pockets ranging from 500 to 1,000 feet in elevation. The first two are the original Schram sections, Napa Valley's first hillside vineyards, originally established by Jacob Schram in 1862. The third section is the adjacent McEachran parcel, which was first planted by Colin McEachran in 1878. These are the southernmost vineyards in the Diamond Mountain District AVA. Supported by diverse volcanic soils, flanked by two cool creek canyons (Nash Creek to the north and Ritchie Creek to the south) and surrounded by compact coniferous and deciduous forests, the vines here produce late-ripening, richly concentrated fruit with average yields of just two tons per acre.
The 2016 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with ideal weather conditions throughout. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August, and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness for the light yields that were present.

Late-disgorged wines, popularly known with fans as LDs, are crown jewels in our sparkling wine portfolio. An LD is created when we delay disgorging a selection of bottles, for extended aging on the yeast lees, in our historic Diamond Mountain caves. The 2000 Brut Napa Valley is being released as a late disgorged wine after having aged slowly for over 19 years en tirage. This sparkling wine has gracefully developed exquisite richness, depth and complexity. It displays savory, nutty and seasoned attributes, along with a caramelized, dense fruitfulness and creaminess associated with its ultra-fine bubbles. With only 52 cases being released, our winemaking team is very excited to release this rare sparkling wine.
The 2000 Brut Napa represents a snapshot of our flourishing relationships in the Napa Carneros AVA starting in the late 1990s. Bayview Avenue is one of our prized pockets in the Napa Carneros AVA. The dark loamy soils along the Carneros Creek provide the vines with a surplus of nutrients and water. Lying 5-10 miles inland from the cool San Pablo Bay, Carneros welcomes cool temperatures and a slow cloud burn-off throughout the growing season. These climatic conditions allow for excellent flavor development and acid retention in the grapes. We have been purchasing fruit from Tognetti Vineyards in the Napa Valley Carneros since 1998 and have since worked with the family to replant the property with three distinct clones of Chardonnay. Casting our gaze across the street is the Jones Vineyard, where we have sourced Pinot Noir since 2000. The vibrant acid structure, bright flavors and complex minerality are common characteristics of the grapes that grow from this vineyard. Travelling a short distance west to the top of the hill, we find the Richburg Vineyard with its good drainage, allowing clusters of Pinot Noir to ripen early, so it tends to be the grape we pick first every year. Since 1995, The Hyde Vineyard planted in Carneros at the base of the Mayacamas foothills provides another dimension of Pinot Noir in our program. Vibrant acidity remains at the core, yet darker flavors also resonate.
The 2000 vintage began with a mild spring paving the way for a long, uneventful growing season. These moderate conditions produced fruit of exceptional quality. Cool and foggy weather in June and July set the course for harvest to begin in mid-August, allowing some of the coolest vineyard sources to mature into late September.

Schramsberg, the pioneer of ultra-premium quality American sparkling wines, is proud to present its tenth vintage of J. Schram Rosé. This sparkling wine is the result of a singular focus to produce a California sparkling rosé comparable with the finest made anywhere in the world. This wine is blended from the vintage's best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wine lots from Schramsberg's collection of 115 cool-climate vineyard sites within Carneros, Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast and Marin County. Following secondary fermentation in the bottle, this wine was aged on its yeast lees for seven years in Schramsberg's historic caves. It was then hand-riddled and finished with a select brut dosage. It is the companion to Schramsberg Vineyard's flagship, J. Schram, which is considered by many to be the ultimate expression of artisan American sparkling wine.
J. Schram Rosé is the epitome of grace, style and elegance in a glass, it lends itself to be served as an apéritif, with a first course or a light main course. Fresh crab, scallop ceviche, seared swordfish, cedar planked lobster, consommé, roasted poultry, or braised pork loin are all well-suited pairings.
The 2012 North Coast wine grape harvest saw textbook conditions, with an ideal bud break and flowering, that led to an even fruit set over the spring. A lengthy stretch of warm days and cool, foggy nights during the summer months, was ideal for the grapes as they matured. Any significant rains held off until the grapes found optimal ripeness, promoting exceptional fruit quality with a uniform balance of acids and sugars.

From the inception of Schramsbergs efforts in 1965, the winery has sought to achieve the greatest elegance and individuality possible in our sparkling wines. J. Schram epitomizes Schramsbergs philosophy to create a wine in which no effort has been spared and no care has been omitted. Representing only 3% of the winerys annual production, the Chardonnay-focused J. Schram blend is assembled from the very best base wine lots of the approximately 300 produced each year. This special bottling is dedicated to Schramsbergs founder, Jacob Schram, and has been a great success since its premier 1987 vintage was released in 1992.
Cluster samples from over 115 cool-climate vineyard sources are pulled several times before the optimal pick date for each block is selected. Complexity within the wine is gained through both oak barrel and stainless-steel tank fermentation. Additional layers are provided through small lots that undergo malolactic fermentation in barrel, enriching aromas and infusing creaminess on the palate. Our J. Schram is aged for over seven years on the yeast in Schramsbergs historic Diamond Mountain caves; each bottle is then riddled by hand and finished with an exceptional brut dosage.
J. Schram is quite appealing on its own as an apéritif or enjoyed with fresh shellfish, caviar on toast point, smoked salmon, sharp cheeses, seafood brochettes, cedar-planked lobster, mesquite-grilled quail, or Serrano ham and porcini risotto.
The 2011 North Coast wine grape harvest was as late a harvest as we've had. Crop levels were also lighter than normal with ripeness developing at lower sugar levels, giving winemakers the opportunity to make flavorful, elegant wines. A wet winter and spring delayed bloom and hindered fruit set, which decreased the overall crop load. A generally cool summer prolonged the growing season and harvest started very late in most areas. Wines of this vintage are quite noteworthy for their vibrant, fruitful acidity, promising exceptional aging potential in the cellar.

Reserve is Schramsbergs top Pinot Noir-focused brut sparkling wine. Representing 2% of our annual production, this richly flavored and full-bodied sparkler is made from only the finest base-wine lots produced each year. We release this finished sparkling wine nearly 9 years after the fruit is harvested, yet this fruitful and dry, toasty and creamy bubbly will age gracefully for decades to come.
Though primarily Pinot Noir, small amounts of select Chardonnay lots are added to the blend to lend additional backbone and length to the palate. Distinct barrel and malolactic fermented lots are also layered in to provide viscosity and depth. Each bottle is aged in contact with its yeast in our historic Diamond Mountain hillside caves for approximately eight years, affording the development of seasoned, roasted and caramelized richness. The yeast is then removed and a finishing dosage, determined through extensive and comprehensive trials, is added to fine-tune the wines balance of flavor and structure.
Schramsberg Reserve is well-suited with a main course, such as fruit-stuffed veal, pork tenderloin, roasted duck with mango, cedar-plank grilled salmon, and curried chicken salad. This flavorful sparkling wine can also be served as an apéritif with smoked oysters, caviar and such hard cheeses as aged Swiss Sbrinz, Sonoma Vella Jack, or Irish Coolea.

The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards in Napa Valley, presents its seventeenth vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from the historic Diamond Mountain vineyards they purchased in 1965. The estate vineyards were replanted to Bordeaux varietals beginning in 1994, and the J. Davies Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was first released in 2004 (2001 vintage).
J. Davies Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the creation of two generations of the Davies family, the product of an intimate knowledge of a place and of a passion to create delicious red wine. The wine is named in honor of patriarch Jack L. Davies, who along with his wife, Jamie, revived the Schramsberg property and established the preeminent American sparkling wine house over 50 years ago.
The vineyard blocks, totaling 41 acres, are laid out in three isolated pockets ranging from approximately 550 to 1,000 feet in elevation. They include the two Schram sections, Napa Valleyâs first hillside vineyards, originally established in 1862 by Jacob Schram. The third piece is the adjacent McEachran parcel, which was first planted by Colin McEachran in 1878 and was purchased by Schramsberg in 1985. These are the southernmost vineyards in the Diamond Mountain District AVA. Flanked by two cool creek canyons (Nash Creek to the north and Ritchie Creek to the south) and surrounded by dense coniferous and deciduous forests, the vines here produce late-ripening, richly concentrated fruit with average yields of just two tons per acre.
For the 2017 vintage, abundant winter rains prior to the growing season helped recharge reservoirs and groundwater. Spring weather was cool to mild, with increased vine vigor and extended flowering in some areas. The summer was warm with heat spikes throughout July, August and September. Cooler weather arrived after Labor Day weekend giving Bordeaux varieties extra hang time.

With great enthusiasm, we present this one-of-a-kind, late-disgorged offering of our flagship Blanc de Blancs, blended from our select range of Chardonnay vineyards in Californias North Coast.
Blanc de Blancs (white from white), made from the Chardonnay grape, is the counterpart to the Blanc de Noirs (white from black), which is made from Pinot Noir. The Schramsberg style of Blanc de Blancs is dry and crisp. Small lots of malolactic and barrel fermented wines are added for complexity. In 1965, Blanc de Blanc became the first wine ever produced by Schramsberg, and was Americas first commercially produced Chardonnay-based brut sparkling wine. Our Blanc de Blancs gained international recognition in 1972 when President Nixon served the wine at the historic Toast to Peace in Beijing, China.
In 2012, when we originally released this bottling, we held back a small number of these bottles for extended aging in our historic Diamond Mountain Caves. After ten years of contact with the yeast, this sparkling wine has gracefully developed exquisite richness, depth and complexity. It displays savory, nutty and seasoned attributes, along with a caramelized and dense fruitfulness and creaminess associated with the ultra-fine bubbles.

We are very excited to present this special, limited bottling of our 2008 Late Disgorged Blanc de Noirs.
Blanc de Noirs (white from black) is the counterpart to Blanc de Blancs (white from white). Made primarily from the red grape Pinot Noir, this is a complex, medium-bodied, brut sparkling wine. Schramsberg pioneered the Blanc de Noirs style in the United States, producing the first such American sparkler in 1967. The key to producing this complex Blanc de Noirs is our vast and varied focus on diverse cool-climate vineyards. Pinot Noir from Carneros and Anderson Valley combine with fruit from low-yielding Sonoma and Marin coastal vineyards to develop a sparkling wine with a breadth of fruitful aroma and flavor. Select Chardonnay lots give zest and backbone to the blend.
Making a white wine from a red grape requires great care hand-picked fruit, early morning harvest, optimal fruit maturity and delicate pressing. A balance of bright flavors, crisp acidity and minimal tannins is achieved. Barrel and malolactic fermentation of particular wine lots add richness and body. Yeast contact in the bottle harmonizes all the elements together in a mature, toasty style. The youthful fruit character of the wine will develop and soften with additional age in the bottle.
In 2012, when we originally released this bottling, we held back a small number of these bottles for extended aging in our historic Diamond Mountain Caves. After ten years of contact with the yeast, this sparkling wine has gracefully developed exquisite richness, depth and complexity. It displays savory, nutty and seasoned attributes, along with a caramelized, dense fruitfulness and creaminess associated with the ultra-fine bubbles.

The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in Napa Valley, presents its fifth bottling of the Red Cap Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Howell Mountain District. Building upon its experience with its home property on Diamond Mountain in the valleys western Mayacamas Range, this bottling represents the Davies teams effort with Cabernet Sauvignon from the valleys eastern Vaca Range. Second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies, Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson and Consultant Celia Welch have collaborated well together since 2008 in crafting Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons, and they are very proud to present this unique vineyard-designate bottling from the 2017 vintage.
Red Cap Vineyard, planted in 2003 and farmed biodynamically by the Altemus family, is located near the summit of Howell Mountain at an elevation of 1,900 feet. At this location, the Aiken loam and red rocky volcanic soils provide great root support and drainage. The well-drained mountain soils produce smaller berries with higher skin to juice ratio, deepening the color of the wine while increasing tannins. Howell Mountain is known for powerful tannins, however our winemaking team skillfully extracts just enough to produce a wine with rounded and balanced structure. Red Caps position above the fog line has a broad temperature range throughout the day. When compared to the valley floor, evening temperatures are warmer and daytime temperatures are cooler, which supports greater acid retention within the grapes. This combination of soil and environmental conditions leads to an extraordinary site for growing delicious Cabernet Sauvignon.
For the 2017 vintage, abundant winter rains prior to the growing season helped recharge reservoirs and groundwater. Spring weather was cool to mild, with increased vine vigor and extended flowering in some areas. Over Labor Day weekend, high temperatures kicked harvest into high gear until mid-September, when cooler weather arrived giving red varieties extra hang time.

The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and the J. Davies Estate in Napa Valley, presents its first vintage of Davies Vineyards Renteria 360 Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Expanding on two decades of knowledge gained through the production of the world-class site-specific Cabernet Sauvignons from various pockets within the Napa Valley, this bottling offers a glimpse of this particular vineyard located in the Oakville sub-appellation.
The Oakville AVA extends over an expanse of well-drained gravel soil between the Vaca and Mayacamas Mountains. The soils found in this AVA is the result of sedimentary deposits from the hills that form Napa Valley. What makes Oakvilles climate distinctive is its transitional, mid-valley location. Oakville is just far enough south to receive regular morning fog from the San Francisco and San Pablo bays, which slows the warming early in the day. But after the fog blows off by mid-morning, Oakville receives the full benefit of the Napa Valley sun. When afternoon temperatures begin to peak, the bay blows cool breezes north to begin this cooling cycle again.
The Renteria family has been farming in the Napa Valley since 1962. The Renteria 360 Vineyard is located on the north end of Oakville, at the border of Rutherford, just off the Silverado trail. The nearly 60-acre vineyard was planted in 2012 and is comprised of multiple blocks with different clone and rootstock combinations. This wine is crafted from three distinct blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon clones 4, 15, and 169 - combined they create a wine rich in depth, color, and flavor.

The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in Napa Valley, presents its fifth vintage bottling of the Winfield Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Calistoga District. Building upon its experience with its home property on Diamond Mountain in the valleys western Mayacamas Range, the Davies team commenced working with this gorgeous sight below the Palisades of the valleys eastern Vaca Range in 2012. Second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies, Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson and Consultant Celia Welch have developed an excellent collaboration over the past decade in crafting Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons, and they are very proud to present this unique vineyard-designate bottling from the 2016 vintage.
Winfield Vineyard is located in the Calistoga AVA, in the northern part of the Napa Valley. It is situated in the rising foothills of Mount Saint Helena, at an elevation of 425 to 590 feet, on a sloping bench above the valley floor. Slightly higher daytime temperatures at this altitude, compared to nearby vineyards at lower elevations, are ideal for the ripening of the fruit. Evenings receive a gradual cooling, as the maritime air is pulled into the area from the Pacific Ocean, allowing the grapes to maintain structural balance during the growing season. With natural occurring groundwater within the alluvial sedimentary fans of volcanic soil, this unique combination of geology and climate creates an extraordinary place for growing delicious Cabernet Sauvignon with a round, dark richness on the palate.
The 2016 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with ideal weather conditions throughout. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July/August, followed by a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness for the light yields that were present.

Showcasing the Piedra Libre Vineyards Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blocks, this brut sparkling wine celebrates our first single-vineyard sparkling wine bottling from this extraordinary pocket of Sonoma Coast. Cool, fog-enriched climate conditions from the Pacific Ocean allow for a prolonged growing season which provides excellent flavor development and acid retention in the grapes that we grow there.
The Piedra Libre Vineyards are centered approximately 45 miles north of San Francisco and 8 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, sitting among the forests of the rolling hills between Sebastopol and Bodega Bay. Located between 250 and 500 feet above sea level, the vineyards are planted in Goldridge sandy loam soil, a fine grain soil with little fertility, which gives the grower full control of nutrients and minerals provided to the vine. The site enjoys morning fog and partial sunny days. This, along with the cool ocean breeze, moderates the temperature and allows the fruit to mature steadily throughout the growing season.
The 2015 year delivered California vintners a stellar vintage. A mild winter led to an early bud break, followed by a protracted bloom during an unseasonably cool spring, which contributed to small grape clusters and light crop size. A steady and moderate weather pattern during ripening allowed for gradual maturity within the grapes and exceptional quality upon harvest.
With almost four years of aging en tirage, this vibrant and complex wine combines a rich texture with excellent drive on the palate. This bright, crisp sparkler will age beautifully, evolving for 20+ years to come with attractive caramelized, nutty and toasted flavor attributes.

Made in the Blanc de Blancs style, the 2015 Schwarze Brut Napa Carneros showcases a single Chardonnay vineyard from the small bay influenced Carneros AVA in southern Napa Valley. Lying 5 - 10 miles inland from the cool San Pablo Bay, Carneros welcomes cool temperatures and a slow cloud burn-off throughout the growing season. These climatic conditions allow for excellent flavor development and acid retention in the grapes.
From the Schwarze Vineyard Chardonnay block bordering the east side of Carneros Creek just north of Las Amigas Road, this bottling celebrates our long-standing partnership with the David Schwarze family. The dark loamy soils along the Carneros Creek provide the vines with a surplus of nutrients and water with which to grow, producing grapes with intense flavors and gripping acidic structure. Consistently producing some of our very best Chardonnay grapes, we are pleased to have worked with the Schwarze family for 25 years.
We harvested our first fruit from Carneros back in 1985 and starting in 1998 consistently produced a bottling focused solely from the fruit grown in this viticultural appellation. The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and the J. Davies Estate in Napa Valley, presents its first vintage of Davies Vineyards St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon. Expanding on two decades of knowledge gained through the production of the world-class site-specific Cabernet Sauvignons from various pockets within the Napa Valley, this bottling offers a glimpse of the St. Helena sub-appellation.
Approximately 20 miles north of the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays, nestled between the Mayacamas and Vaca Mountain ranges, lies appellation St. Helena. The shape of this appellations geography and distance from the cool waters of the Bays and the Pacific Ocean set this historic location apart from any other growing region in the world. Vineyards are located on ancient alluvial fans, and on the valley floor that sweeps toward the Napa River. Consistent sunshine and the unique hourglass shape of the region contribute to a wide fluctuation of temperature during the growing season. Heat is locked in during the day and is amplified by the hillsides; at night, that same slender width funnels moderating breezes to dramatically cool the vines, sometimes by as much as 40 to 50 degrees. This extreme shift in temperature helps the fruit retain ideal balance and acidity.
This bottling is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon from three vineyards: Castellucci on Zinfandel Lane, Dr. Gold on Main Street and Vittorios Estate off White Lane. All vineyards, located on the valley floor, benefit from the great summer warmth and sunlight.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release its tenth vintage of Pinot Noir still wines. The family's experience with Pinot Noir dates back to 1967, when Jack and Jamie Davies first used this elegant red varietal to make their inaugural vintage of Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. Over the 53 years following that first use, Schramsberg's winemakers have built long-lasting relationships with some of the best Pinot Noir growers in the North Coast. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this vineyard-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
The Ferrington Vineyards property, located approximately 100 miles north of San Francisco and 17 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, is in a fertile pocket of land found at the edge of the northeastern foothills of Mendocino County's Anderson Valley. Between 360 and 440 feet above sea level, the vines utilize over six feet of Boontling and Pinole loam soil, sustainable farming practices, and deficit irrigation to produce approximately 2.5 tons per acre of bright, complex fruit with great balance. Cool, foggy nights and steadily warming days provide a long, even growing season which delivers mature fruit depth with a vibrant, acidic backbone. Ferrington Vineyards is managed by our long-time grape growing partner, Paul Ardzrooni.
The 2018 growing season in Anderson Valley was not as warm as in recent years. Daily diurnal shifts, characteristic of the Anderson Valley AVA, were moderated by the cooler summer temperatures. Fewer heat spikes allowed the fruit to mature slowly and steadily, lengthening the growing season. Along with a balanced, healthy crop, this elongated growing season presented an ideal situation for full phenolic development with enticing intensity of freshness, and concentration of fruit flavor.

The family's experience with Pinot Noir dates back to 1967, when Jack and Jamie Davies first used this elegant red varietal to make their inaugural vintage of Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. Over the 52 years following that first use, Schramsberg's winemakers have built long-lasting relationships with some of the best Pinot Noir growers in the North Coast. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this vineyard-designate Pinot Noir from southern Mendocino County's Anderson Valley.
The Goorgian Vineyard is located at the northwestern end of the Anderson Valley, 10 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and situated on steep, rocky northwest facing slopes with an elevation ranging from 200-600 feet. Shallow loamy topsoil facilitates excellent drainage above a layer of sandstone and shale, stressing the roots to reach for nutrients and water. Cooler daily temperatures are ideal for Pinot Noir with nightly coastal breezes, creating the perfect sugar to acid balance in the grapes. This environment provides a long, even growing season which delivers mature fruit depth with a vibrant, acidic backbone. Goorgian Vineyards is managed by our long-time grape growing partner, Paul Ardzrooni.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release the 2018 vintage of its Hyde Vineyards Pinot Noir. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present their fourth Pinot Noir vineyard-designate release from this storied Napa Valley Carneros property.
The Hyde family's Pinot Noir vineyards are planted just north of Highway 12 at the base of the Mayacamas foothills in the Napa Valley Carneros AVA at the southernmost end of the Napa Valley. The grapes are favorably influenced by the nightly cooling effect provided by the closely located San Pablo Bay. The vines on the property thrive on three feet of loamy topsoil above an impenetrable clay subsoil. This soil combination provides superb control over the nutrients and water supply for the vines. The Davies have enjoyed working with the Hydes since 1995 with their sparkling wine program and are excited to expand this relationship with Pinot Noir still wine.
For the 2018 vintage, early season rains caused both bud break and flowering to start late. However, ideal weather conditions persisted to start the season, creating plentiful and even fruit set. Summer brought generous sun and the cooler marine influences of the Carneros AVA were virtually uninterrupted by major heat spikes. This relatively mild summer was followed by extended fall sunshine and moderate heat. These near-ideal conditions resulted in superb grape quality, with complex flavors and balanced acidity.

The family owned and managed Nobles Vineyard produces bright, complex, and richly layered Pinot Noir. It is located approximately 75 miles north of San Francisco, on the north Sonoma Coast, in the recently designated Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. With the vineyard's moderate daytime and nighttime temperature swings, the Pinot Noir grapes follow a steady path to optimum ripeness, full flavor and color expression. The site is located on the eastern slopes of the second mountain ridge in from the Pacific Ocean, between 950 and 1,050 feet above sea level. Planted in 1993, on the property's Goldridge fine sandy loam soil, less than two tons per acre of vibrant, yet supple, fruit is harvested each year.
The long growing season in 2018 revealed a vintage with great structure and concentration. A cool spring meant bloom lasted longer than usual, but fruit set was consistent. Summer temperatures were moderate with fewer heat spikes than in recent years. Veraison started later as well, and as a result, harvest started two to three weeks later than in recent years. The result was fruit exhibiting fully mature, sweet tannins, with outstanding color and brightness.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release the first bottling of their Perry Ranch Pinot Noir. The family's experience with Pinot Noir dates back to 1967, when Jack and Jamie Davies first used this elegant red varietal to make their inaugural vintage of Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. Over 53 years following that first use, Schramsberg's winemakers have built long-lasting relationships with some of the best Pinot Noir growers in the North Coast. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this delicious vineyard-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
This wine is crafted from the Perry Ranch Vineyard, one of three vineyards formerly and collectively known as Keefer Ranch. Perry Ranch, farmed by the Dutton Family, is in the headwaters of Green Valley Creek, on a gently sloping, well-drained, south-facing exposure. The vineyard offers fruit that profits from a long, cool hang time resulting in outstanding color and extraction. Green Valley is one of the smallest appellations in Sonoma County and lies within the southwestern part of the Russian River Valley appellation. Green Valley is consistent in terms of soil, climate and flavor characteristics. It is the first place where the fog comes in and the last place where it burns off, making it the coolest, foggiest part of the Russian River Valley. The predominant soil type of Green Valley is Goldridge loam, noted for producing high quality Pinot Noir grapes. This wine exhibits the classic flavor profile of Green Valley: ripe cherry and cranberry fruit, spice, lively acidity, soft tannins, supple texture, and beautiful structure.
The long growing season in 2018 revealed a vintage with structure and concentration without being overripe. Despite a warm February, the growing season started off cooler than the past few vintages. A cool spring meant bloom lasted longer than usual, which resulted in a bountiful crop. Summer temperatures were moderate with fewer heat spikes than in recent years. Veraison started later as well, and as a result, harvest started two to three weeks later than in recent years. The result was fruit exhibiting fully mature, sweet tannins, with outstanding color and brightness.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release the second bottling of their Three Amigos Pinot Noir. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Senior Winemaker Sean Thompson are proud to present this delicious vineyard-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
This wine is crafted solely from the Three Amigos Vineyard, a certified organic and biodynamic Pinot Noir vineyard in the Napa Valley Carneros region, owned and managed by Robert Sinskey. At a short distance from the Napa Marina, it's a cool, foggy, and breezy location that Pinot Noir loves. Carneros - occasionally called Los Carneros - stretches across the southern portion of both Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Located just north of the San Pablo Bay, Carneros benefits from the bay's cooling air and morning fog. Grapes from this cooler sub-appellation ripen more slowly, retaining acidity and developing complexity, and though there are now several cool-climate areas specializing in Pinot Noir, Carneros was one of the earlier-planted Pinot regions.

The Davies family, proprietors of Schramsberg Vineyards and the J. Davies Estate in Napa Valley, presents its sixth vintage of Davies Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Expanding on knowledge gained through the production of the J. Davies Cabernet Sauvignon wines from the Diamond Mountain estate, this bottling offers a broader exploration of the Napa Valley. A diverse blend of vineyardsfrom the valley floor to both the Mayacamas and Vaca mountain rangeshas allowed the winemaking team to craft a deliciously layered and balanced 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Blending grapes from an array of vineyards means being able to make a wine of great complexity. Seven vineyards sites from across Napa Valley have come together to craft this Cabernet Sauvignon. Napa Valley vineyards are intentionally farmed to produce low yields which result in vivid, concentrated flavors in the grapes. Weve blended grapes from vineyards in Atlas Peak, Oakville, Rutherford, Saint Helena, Diamond Mountain District, Howell Mountain and Calistoga to construct a wine with full, ripe fruit flavors, rich texture, and firm structure tempered with supple tannins for extended aging.
The Napa Valley was California's first AVA, or American Viticultural Area, recognized by the U.S. government in 1981. Though just 30 miles long and a few miles wide, Napa Valley is one of the most geologically diverse wine regions in the world. Home to various microclimates, terrain and soils it has a dry Mediterranean climate which is ideal for producing consistent wines from vintage to vintage. This climate provides near perfect growing conditions during the peak growing season with little rainfall and warm summer days but cool nights. Throughout the growing season, the canopy is carefully managed, usually by hand, to ensure optimal fruit development.

Davies Estate Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley, presents its third vintage of Davies Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Expanding from the knowledge gained through the production of the J. Davies Estate wines on Diamond Mountain, this bottling offers a broader exploration of the Napa Valley. A diverse blend of vineyards, ranging from valley floor to both the Mayacamas and Vaca mountain ranges, provided the winemaking team a great range of delicious fruit with which to craft this 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Five vineyards sites from across Napa Valley have come together to construct this wine. Two vineyards from the lush, alluvial soils on the valley floor in Yountville and Rutherford, contribute a core of deep flavors and firm tannins. Moving just off the valley floor, at the foot of Mount St. Helena in Calistoga, is a site that springs from white soils, yielding softer and brighter fruitful nuances. Finally, two rugged mountain hillside sites, where the soils are volcanic, are brought in. These sites, from Diamond Mountain on the west side of the valley and Howell Mountain from the east, cultivate low-yielding vines that produce ripe red fruit for balance and structure.
The 2016 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with ideal weather condition throughout. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August, and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness for the light yields that were present.

Schramsberg Brut Rosé is fruitful, complex and dry, making it both versatile with food and delicious by itself as an apéritif. The character of the wine is most strongly influenced by bright, flavorful Pinot Noir grown along the coast from southern Mendocino County to northern Marin County. A few small lots of Pinot Noir are fermented in contact with their skins to add depth and subtle color to this vibrant sparkling wine. Chardonnay gives spice, structure and length on the palate.
Hand picking, careful handling and gentle pressing produce a wine of delicacy, aromatic purity and depth. Following the fall harvest and fermentation of the base wines, extensive tasting trials are carried out in the spring to create a polished blend reflective of the vintage. The finished blend undergoes a second fermentation in bottle before aging on its yeast lees for about two years, just enough to achieve refined effervescence and toastiness without diminishing its refreshing, vibrant appeal.
Enjoy this rich, delicious sparkler on almost any occasion: at your favorite restaurant, a special dinner at home, at a beach picnic or a backyard barbecue. A very versatile wine; try it with sushi, salmon, rock shrimp, pizza, roast chicken, BBQ ribs, caprese and Panzanella salads, red berry tarts, and an array of cheeses, charcuterie, nuts and fresh fruit.
For the 2017 vintage, abundant winter rains prior to the growing season helped recharge reservoirs and groundwater. Spring weather was cool to mild, with increased vine vigor and extended flowering in some areas. After a summer of heat spikes, harvest started in the beginning of August. Warm days and cool nights throughout harvest encouraged exceptional fruit development while maintaining bright acidity.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release its tenth vintage of Pinot Noir still wines. The Anderson Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of the Ferrington and Goorgian Vineyards, located at opposite ends of this coastal valley at the southern end of Mendocino County. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this appellation-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
The Ferrington Vineyards property, located approximately 100 miles north of San Francisco and 17 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, is in a fertile pocket of land found at the edge of the northeastern foothills of Mendocino County's Anderson Valley AVA. Between 360 and 440 feet above sea level, the three acres produce approximately 2.5 tons per acre of bright, complex fruit. Goorgian Vineyards is located at the northwestern end of the Anderson Valley, 10 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and situated on steep rocky north-west facing slopes with an elevation ranging from 200-350 feet. From its highest point you can see down the southeastern end of the valley. Both vineyards are managed by our long-time grape growing partner, Paul Ardzrooni.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release the 2018 vintage of their Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. This wine is a blend crafted from the Perry Ranch, Nobles, and Horseshoe Bend vineyards. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this delicious appellation-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
Nobles Vineyard, in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, produces Pinot Noir with vibrant red berry flavors and a supple, layered texture. The vineyards are on the eastern slopes of the second mountain ridge in from the Pacific Ocean, between 950 and 1,050 feet above sea level. Horseshoe Bend Vineyard, leased by the Davies and managed by Art Robledo, sits at the summit of the ridgeline above the town of Occidental. At 700 - 800 feet elevation, itâs situated above the fog bank of the Russian River and gathers enough warmth to ripen the Pinot clusters.

The Davies family of Schramsberg Vineyards and Davies Vineyards in the Napa Valley is pleased to release its fourth vintage of Napa Valley Carneros Pinot Noir. This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir from Three Amigos, Costa del Sol, and Hyde Vineyards. Developing upon this passion, history, and experience, second-generation Vintner Hugh Davies and Director of Winemaking Sean Thompson are proud to present this appellation-designate Pinot Noir wine from the 2018 vintage.
Three Amigos Vineyard is a certified organic and biodynamic Pinot Noir vineyard in the Napa Valley Carneros region. At a short distance from the Napa Marina, it's a cool, foggy, and breezy location that Pinot Noir loves. The Costa del Sol Vineyard is located on Las Amigas Road in the heart of Napa Carneros. The nearly 12-acre vineyard was planted in 2006 to five different Pinot Noir clones. The vines benefit from the cool breeze that blows in from the San Pablo Bay to create wines of balanced complexity and concentrated fruit expression. Hyde Vineyards are planted in the foothills just north of the Carneros Bayview District. The grapes are favorably influenced by the nightly cooling effect from the closely located San Pablo Bay, retaining the wineâs balanced acidity. The vines on the property thrive on three feet of loamy topsoil above an impenetrable clay subsoil. This combination provides control over the nutrients and water supply for the vines.

Blanc de Noirs (white from black) is the counterpart to Blanc de Blancs (white from white). Made primarily from the red grape Pinot Noir, this is a complex, medium-bodied, brut sparkling wine. Schramsberg pioneered the Blanc de Noirs style in the United States, producing the first such commercial American sparkler in 1967. The key to producing this Blanc de Noirs is our sourcing of pinot noir grapes from a vast and varied selection of cool-climate vineyards. Pinot Noir from Carneros and Anderson Valley combine with fruit from low-yielding Sonoma and Marin coastal vineyards to develop a sparkling wine with a breadth of fruitful aroma and flavor. Select Chardonnay lots give zest and backbone to the blend.
Making a white wine from a red grape requires great carehand-picked fruit, early morning harvest, optimal fruit maturity and delicate pressing. A balance of bright flavors, crisp acidity and minimal tannins is achieved. Barrel and malolactic fermentation of wine lots add richness and body. Yeast contact in the bottle harmonizes all the elements together in a mature, toasty style. The youthful fruit character of the wine will develop and soften with additional age in the bottle. With proper storage, this sparkling wine will be delicious for many years, even decades to come.
Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs is particularly well-suited to serve with a variety of foods, including soft and nutty cheeses, macadamia nut-crusted halibut, and pork tenderloin with fresh rosemary and lemon thyme.
The 2016 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with ideal weather conditions throughout. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August, and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness for the light yields that were present.

The Schramsberg Crémant Demi-sec is a delicate, off-dry sparkling wine: an American original. Crémant is French for creamy and traditionally refers to a wine with light effervescence. It has approximately two-thirds the pressure of our other sparkling wines and presents a creamier texture with more exotic flavors. Schramsberg made its first Crémant in 1972. After rigorous study, Jack and Jamie Davies chose a unique California grape named Flora (a cross of Sémillon and Gewürztraminer developed at UC Davis) to be the core component of this sparkling wine. Flora unites the fruit-forward character of Gewürztraminer with the strength, depth and minerality of Sémillon. Aging on the yeast for two years prior to disgorgement adds complexity, yet the wine will retain its youthful appeal for 20 years or more.
Schramsberg Crémant Demi-sec has been served at many U.S. State events, including President Reagans Second Inaugural Luncheon and President Obamas White House Dinner for Chinas President Jinping. Most recently, the Crémant Demi-sec was served at President Trumps White House dinner honoring French President Macron.
The sweetness in Crémant is subtle, providing a fine balance with desserts, such as fruit tarts, poached fruits, light cakes, custards, exotic sorbets, gingerbread, and crème brûlée. It also compliments a wide range of spicy Asian foods, blue cheeses, and matches especially well with foie gras.

Blanc de Blancs (white from whites), made from Chardonnay, is the counterpart to the Blanc de Noirs (white from blacks), made from Pinot Noir. Blanc de Blancs was the first wine Schramsberg produced in 1965 and was America's first commercially produced Chardonnay-based brut sparkling wine. Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs gained international recognition in 1972 when then President Nixon served the wine at the historic "Toast to Peace" in Beijing, China.
The Schramsberg style of Blanc de Blancs is dry and crisp. Small lots of barrel fermented wines, some of which complete malolactic fermentation, are added to the stainless-steel fermented wines to create added complexity in the blended base wine. After undergoing a second fermentation in bottle, the wine then ages on its yeast lees for about two years prior to disgorgement. With its vibrant, fruitful and focused nature, this sparkling wine will maintain its freshness, structure and refined finish for many years, even decades following its initial release.
While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an apéritif, it is also perfect with fresh oysters and other shellfish, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass. It is also delicious with lemon chicken and Thai curries. Serve with aged Gouda or other hard cheeses, and as a counterpoint to soft triple creams.

The counterpart to our Mirabelle Brut, the Mirabelle Brut Rosé is a specially crafted blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Schramsberg’s select cool-climate vineyards in the Carneros, Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast and Marin County areas of Northern California.
The grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed to provide superior quality juice for the production of this balanced, refreshing rosé bubbly. In the spring following the fall harvest, base wines are individually evaluated and carefully blended by our winemakers. Pinot Noir lots, including a few fermented with skin contact, provide brightness of berry fruit and body, while Chardonnay lots lend length and zest to the palate. Additional flavor depth and aromatic complexity results from the blending of base wine lots aged in barrels and tanks for one or more years. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and rests in Schramsberg’s historic Diamond Mountain caves for approximately two years. Following the en tirage aging, an extensive dosage trial process produces the ideal finishing touch, and the sparkling wine is ready to be enjoyed. The finished Brut Rosé exhibits fresh, elegant, and toasty aromas that lead into lively and delicious fruit flavors on the palate.
The multi-vintage Mirabelle Rosé is delicious on its own, and it also pairs well with everything from grilled salmon, country fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, Caprese salad, poke tuna, classic Hawaiian pizza or simple pastas.

Mirabelle is Schramsberg’s multi-vintage brut sparkling wine. This young, bright bubbly exhibits the crisp acidity and vibrant green apple/citrus fruit that is characteristic of cool-climate Chardonnay. Pinot Noir adds body, mid-palate and further richness of fruit flavor. Unlike our vintage bottlings, Mirabelle gains unique depth from blending additions of aged base wines, stored in barrels and tanks at the winery from prior vintages. These older lots add significant palate richness and aromatic complexity.
As with Schramsberg’s single-vintage sparkling wines, all grapes for Mirabelle are grown in the cool-climate pockets of California’s North Coast, including Carneros, Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast and Marin County. The fruit is hand-picked in the early morning hours at optimal maturity. Individual lot fermentations allow the winemakers to carefully select the components that make up the finished blend. After bottle fermentation and about two years of aging en tirage, subsequent trials determine the ideal dosage to finish this brut style.
Mirabelle Brut works well as a dry apéritif and is also well-suited as an accompaniment to a broad range of foods, including oysters on the half shell, sushi, baked halibut, cheeses and cream-based pasta dishes.
