2012 Querencia Brut Rosé (1 x 750 ml)
Querencia is produced solely from fruit grown in the Napa Valley Carneros region. Chardonnay forms the blend's core, providing a relatively light-bodied, crisp and tangy palate. Small additions of Pinot Noir fermented with skin contact add berry brightness and color. This brut rosé sparkling wine is hearty enough to compliment the robust flavors of Mediterranean cooking and delicate enough to be served with a truly broad range of appetizers.
Tasting notes
Querencia has generous aromas of white peach, fresh pineapple, and candied berry fruit. The fruitful nose is complimented by aromas of spiced citrus, shortbread, and toasted brioche. Intense flavors of lemon curd, strawberry, and ruby grapefruit lead into a bright, crisp, and lingering finish.- Winemakers Sean Thompson and Hugh Davies
Reviews
92 PointsFrom fruit grown in Carneros, 74% of it Chardonnay and 26% Pinot Noir, this includes grapes from both Hudson and Hyde vineyards. Gorgeously full bodied and elegant, it’s dry on the palate with vibrant acidity to balance the tangy flavors of cherry, pomegranate and cranberry.- Wine Enthusiast (November 2016)

Schramsberg has crafted Querencia as its way to honor founder Jack Davies' efforts in preserving agricultural land in Napa. Using only Carneros fruit, this bottling is a crisp, wiry, lively effort whose tight mousse and creamy texture work hand in hand with red-berry notes that balance both the tendency to firmness and the slightly tart edge in the latter palate and finish. It would work famously with fresh shucked Kumamoto oysters garnished with a dollop of tart watermelon granita.- Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (October 2016)
