2023 "FERRINGTON VINEYARDS" PINOT NOIR (1 X 750 ML)
The Ferrington Vineyards property, located approximately 100 miles north of San Francisco and 17 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, is in a fertile pocket of land found at the edge of the northeastern foothills of Mendocino Countys Anderson Valley. Between 360 and 440 feet above sea level, the vines utilize over six feet of Boontling and Pinole loam soil, sustainable farming practices, and deficit irrigation to produce approximately 2.5 tons per acre of bright, complex fruit with great balance. Cool, foggy nights and steadily warming days provide a long, even growing season which delivers mature fruit depth with a vibrant, acidic backbone.
The 2023 Anderson Valley vintage delivered exceptional quality despite a delayed start and a cooler summer. After years of drought, plentiful winter rain led to a milder growing season. Grapes benefited from the extended hang time which resulted in yields higher than average; many vineyards having the most bountiful harvest in recent memory.

Tasting notes
Our 2023 Ferrington Vineyards Pinot Noir delivers lush aromas of red fruit, berry compote, and hints of chocolate and vanilla. Notes of rosemary spice and espresso add to the bouquet. A bright and generous cherry-fruited entry leads into a well-weighted mid-palate. The finish is driven by density and youthful tannins.- Winemakers J.P. Pierce, Jessica Koga, Sean Thompson, Hugh Davies
