2019 "Keefer Ranch" Pinot Noir (1 X 750 ML)
The Keefer Ranch is located in the headwaters of Green Valley Creek, with gently sloping, draining soils and a south-facing exposure. Keefer Ranch is planted on Goldridge Loam which is valued for its suitability for growing Pinot Noir. The vineyard profits from a long, cool hang time resulting in fruit with outstanding color, extraction and balanced tannins. The Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir shows ripe cherry, cranberry fruit, spice, lively acidity, soft tannins, supple texture, and beautiful structure.
The 2019 growing season had a record winter rainfall, a cool spring, and a summer growing season that was near perfect for Sonoma County winegrapes. Cooler than normal summer temperatures slowed down fruit ripening pushing back harvest in many areas compared to recent seasons. Harvest began in our vineyard sites in mid-Septemeber. The resulting wine reflects the high-quality, densly concentrated fruit from this vintage.

Tasting notes
The 2019 Davies Vineyards "Keefer Ranch" Pinot Noir exhibits aromas of cherry, blackberry, cranberry and lavender, with a lingering whisp of strawberry. The palate opens with tangy acidity that drives delicious layers of brambly raspberry, sour cherry, rhubarb and vanilla, with elements of Madagascar vanilla that are supported by intergrated tanins.- Winemakers Sean Thompson, Jessica Koga and Hugh Davies
