2017 Three Amigos Pinot Noir (1 x 750 mL)
This wine is crafted solely from grapes from the Three Amigos Vineyard, a certified organic and biodynamic Pinot Noir vineyard in the Napa Valley Carneros region. At a short distance from the Napa Marina, its a cool, foggy, and breezy location that Pinot Noir loves. Carneros - occasionally called Los Carneros - stretches across the southern portion of both Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Located just north of the San Pablo Bay, Carneros benefits from the bays cooling air and morning fog. Grapes from this cooler sub-appellation ripen more slowly, retaining acidity and developing complexity, and though there are now several cool-climate areas specializing in Pinot Noir, Carneros was one of the earlier-planted Pinot regions.

Tasting notes
This Pinot Noir features inviting aromas of red plum, cranberry, cherry, and brambly raspberry combined with a touch of white flower. The well-structured palate engages with a juicy center of red cherry, just-ripe strawberry, and blueberry that carries through to a long finish.- Winemakers Sean Thompson and Hugh Davies
Reviews
93 PointsPale ruby-purple in color, the 2017 Pinot Noir Three Amigos Vineyard gives up gregarious stewed raspberries, kirsch and mulberries scents with touches of spice box, dried herbs and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, the palate is flled with bold red fruit preserves and earthy favors, framed by fne, grainy tannins and fantastic freshness, fnishing long and fragrant.- Wine Advocate (October 2019)
90 Points
Rich, nicely ripened, supple in feel and keyed on straightforward cherryish fruit with quiet touches of dried flowers and creamy oak evident in its full-volume aromas and again in its ample, fairly continuous flavors, this moderately full-bodied Pinot runs into just enough last-minute tannin and heat to commend a little more time on the cork, but it is not at all hard to taste and will turn the trick now as a foil to savory pork roasts or lighter lamb recipes.- Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (November 2019)
