Goorgian Vineyard is located at the northwestern end of the Anderson Valley, 10 miles east of the Pacific Ocean and situated on steep rocky north-west facing slopes with an eleveation ranging from 200-350 feet. From it’s highest point you can see down the southestern end of the valley and view Ferrington Vineyards, another of our Davies Vineyards sites.
The Ferrington Vineyards property, located approximately 100 miles north of San Francisco and 17 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, is in a fertile pocket of land found at the edge of the northeastern foothills of Mendocino County’s Anderson Valley AVA. Between 360 and 440 feet above sea level, the three acres produce approximately 2.5 tons per acre of bright, complex fruit.
This Anderson Valley Pinot Noir features aromas of dried cranberry, cocoa powder, vanilla spice and a touch of black pepper. The structured palate shows flavors of tart cherry, rhubarb, orange zest and dark chocolate, which carry through the finish with a bright acidity.- Winemakers Sean Thompson and Hugh Davies

Bold ripe fruit flavors find impressive support from firm tannins and refreshing acidity in this natural-tasting and well-structured wine. The black cherry, raspberry and cranberry flavors are vivid and mouthfilling, while a lip-smacking texture keeps them alive on the palate and through a lingering finish.- Wine Enthusiast - February 2018
