Tasting notes

The 2012 J. Schram Rosé immediately pleases the eye with its copper tinged, pale salmon color. It opens with aromas of apricot and strawberry shortcake, balanced by aspects of can-died orange, peach, plum and vanilla wafer. Layers of cranberry, raspberry, cherry and green apple suffuse the palate, with honey and brown sugar adding additional complexity. Rich, vibrant with bright acidity, and closing with a well-integrated finish, this wine is truly a feast for the senses."

"The 2011 J. Schram opens with pleasant aromas of baked pear, lemon meringue and baked apple, enhanced by nuances of toffee and honey. The rich palate features fruitful elements of baked pineapple and Meyer lemon, layered with crystallized ginger. Good depth on the finish is driven by a backbone of lingering natural acidity."

"The 2012 Reserve opens with aromas of baked pear, caramel apple, honey, graham cracker and cinnamon toast that gain complexity with touches of marzipan and dried orange peel. Bright flavors of apricot and peach crumble are supported with a fresh acidity on the palate, and finish with toasty nuances of glazed orange, ginger and grilled pineapple."

"The 2017 J. Davies Estate Cabernet opens with rich aromas of black plum, red cherry and marionberry, accentuated by undertones of vanilla, cola spice, fresh bay leaf and mint. Firm but integrated tannins anchor the wines palate, where a broad entry of blueberry and milk chocolate is followed by flavors of fresh coffee and blackberry."
